Joan Wolfer

Joan lives in Boulder Colorado in a peaceful inspirational location. Joan has been a fiber artist for 30 years, winning more natonal awards than she can list on her bio. While fiber art is her passion she appreciates folk art, "especially crosses". She surrounds herself with other artists' work in her home for inspiration.

"The tactile quality of yarn, thread and fabric inspires me to imagine, dream and wonder what images can emerge under my fingers. Each of my fiber works are experimental, each different, never repeated and individually created."

Making use of workshops, libraries, books and artist's shows is the background for her knowledge of art. My art pieces have appeared in juried, invitational and international shows.
